St. Francis de Sales

The Chappuis Society functions much like a Mother’s Club. It is open to all mothers of current St. Francis students and all mothers of St. Francis alumni. The Chappuis Society was founded in 1960 and was named in honor of Mother Mary De Sales Chappuis who was the Superior of the Visitation Convent of Troyes, France and co-founder of the oblates.

Chappuis moms plan a variety of activities for the students and family of St. Francis. Some activities help to raise funds for special school projects; some give moms and sons a chance to have fun together. All are designed to help make our sons’ years at St. Francis memorable.

The Chappuis officers and committee leaders cordially invite all SFS moms to join the Mothers Club and we welcome your participation in the activities we have planned for this year.

St. Francis de Sales High School has achieved a commanding presence in northwest Ohio by continually renewing a promise made 50 years ago: to educate young men in the spirit of St. Francis de Sales, the gentleman saint.

A half-century later, St. Francis continues to change, to challenge, and to mold students.

It is preparing them for a global, technology-driven world. Always looking ahead, this year SFS will be offering such classes as:

• Graphic design
• Computer-Aided Design (CAD)
• Introduction to Engineering taught by faculty from the University of Toledo
