"The desire of God, our Creator, is that each person should live in happiness, without care or anxiety, God doing all and ordering all."
Mother Mary de Sales Chappuis 1793-1875
Mother Chappuis The Chappuis (pronounced “shap-we”) Society functions as the St. Francis de Sales Mothers’ Club. All mothers of current St. Francis students and alumni are invited and encouraged to join. The Society was founded in 1960, and named in honor of Mother Mary de Sales Chappuis who was the Superior of the Visitation Convent at Troyes, France, and co-founder of the Oblates.
Chappuis moms plan more than 30 activities for the students and family of St. Francis. Please view the Chappuis Committees and see what interests you! Our activities include raising funds for school projects and scholarships; honoring teachers and staff with special events, providing informative meetings about teen issues, and assisting the SFS administration with projects. Many of our activities are planned for the enjoyment of our “knights”, and provide a chance for moms and sons to have fun together. Our goal is to provide a spirit of fellowship for all Knight Moms, while promoting St. Francis de Sales High School; thereby assisting the Oblates of St. Francis in their apostolate.
To volunteer, just complete the Chappuis Volunteer Form and mail it to the school office.
