2008-2009 Tuition Policy PDF Print E-mail
  1. Tuition is $7950 for the school year-payable by one of three options.

A comprehensive fee of $250 is charged to all students. An itemization of this fee is included below.

There is a $100 discount for paying the entire amount in advance (both tuition and fee).
  2. Seniors are charged a one-time Senior Fee of $175 to cover the cost of Baccalaureate and Graduation. This fee will be posted on the opening tuition statement.
  3. For a second son in the same family, the tuition is $7450; a third son's tuition is $6,950. The same discount (i.e. $100) for a single payment of these amounts (plus fees) is applicable.
  4. In cases where students are receiving academic scholarships and/or grants-in-aid, no discount will be allowed for paying the entire balance in advance.
  5. If there is a balance due, a complete statement will be mailed to each family at the beginning of each month.
  6. The State of Ohio provides most textbooks. Some textbooks, workbooks, paperbacks, and religion textbooks must be purchased and will be available, cash and carry, when your son reports in August.
  7. For those who fail to meet their tuition payment obligation on time, a 1.5% per month finance charge (18% APR) will be levied on the outstanding balance.
  8. Deliquent tuition, regardless of amount, results in college applications and transcript requests not being processed.
  9. A student may begin a new school year only if his account is current, with no outstanding tuition from the previous year. He will not be allowed to begin a new quarter if his tuition is in arrears by more than one quarter's total.
  10. In cases of withdrawal: The quarterly option (Plan B) will be used. Any refund will be calculated on a per diem basis with no refund after the fifteenth (15th) school day of a quarter.
  11. A student whose tuition is in arrears at the time of graduation will not be permitted to participate in any of the graduation ceremonies.
  12. A new student who has or had a brother attending St. Francis will be allowed to register only if his brother's account is current.

Note:

In cases where students have been awarded scholarships and/or brother reductions: the tuition account will be credited quarterly. e.g. If a student is awarded a $1000 scholarship, $250 will be credited each quarter; or, if a student receives a $500 brother's reduction, $125 will be credited each quarter; etc.

In cases where students are receiving a grant-in-aid with a work requirement: these grants will be deducted only after the work has been completed in accordance with the work contract.

Payments may be made by cash, check, Discover, VISA, or MASTERCARD.
