CURRENT OPPORTUNITIES 1) The Goerlich Center needs volunteers at their facility. They could use help with the following:Cleaning/sorting of activity storage space, Games with residents, Wii, Writing letters for residents, reading mail to them, Puzzles, Socializing, Walking with them, Singing, Hand massages/manicures. Some of these activities will depend upon your comfort level. If any of you are history buffs, they need assistance setting up a computer to the televisions on the units and showing You-tube videos for reminiscing – one of their media directors came across this idea and wants to run a trial with the Goerlich residents. They’d like to start this activity as soon as possible.

2) Special Olympics Ohio Toledo Public: Opportunities for assisting with basketball skills, bowling league and swim lessons are available. Mrs. Hess is looking for volunteers for these areas. Please contact her @
