 Every Freshman student will attend a Freshman Retreat during the month of September. These retreats occur during the school day and are sometimes held at the Gesu Sullivan Center.
The Freshman retreats for the 2008-2009 school year will be held at the high school. There will be five retreats, one each day during the week of September 8th. Rosters will be posted in early September.
In general, the goal of these retreats is for the students to grow in their relationship with one another, to come to a better understanding of what if means to be a member of the St. Francis de Sales community, and to be introduced to the Salesian heritage and Salesian spirituality. These goals are realized through icebreakers, team-building exercises, talks given by upper classmen, small group discussions, the sharing of a meal, prayer and reflection.
