Please check the upcoming events calendar for our monthly meeting and mass dates. You will note that times alternate between evenings and mornings, in an effort to accommodate all schedules. All are welcome to enjoy the wonderful insight of Fr. Lehner as we celebrate mass together. Feel free to attend any or all meetings - it’s a great way to meet other moms and catch the “SFS Spirit! Chappuis happenings will be highlighted monthly in the Knights’ News as well.

A Message from the President:
As my “job” is near completion, I find my heart is full of gratitude for everyone who has supported our cause: our committee chairs and volunteers, the administration and faculty, Oblates, parents, students, alumni, and community.  With about 150 active members, and more than 25 chairwomen for various events, Chappuis is a vibrant organization, full of talented and dedicated moms – all volunteers supporting our sons and St. Francis de Sales High School.   I am thankful for the gifts that volunteering at SFS has offered me:  fellowship, discovery of the Oblate philosophy, and a realization that my son’s Knight education is priceless.  I encourage all Knight moms to be a part of Chappuis - it is my hope that you all will share these wonderful experiences!

Senior Signs – The time of year is here to “plant” our senior signs. Please contact Jill Sholl if you volunteered to help -(419) 535-0575. Signs will be available for pick-up at our last Chappuis meeting (5/21/08).  If you cannot attend, please contact Jill for instructions.

Senior Mother Son Banquet – Monday, May 19, 2008 – Chairperson:  Linda Findlay (419) 882-6931, This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it   At this event, moms join their senior Knights for lunch and the presentation of awards at Sylvania Country Club.  Invitations will be mailed around the beginning of May; please plan to RSVP as soon as possible.  Parking is limited and we are encouraging car pools.
 Installation of Chappuis Officers and Chappuis Thank You Meeting – Wednesday, May 21, 2008 – Mass 6:30 pm; Meeting following Mass.  Please join us as we welcome Cathy Trimble (our new Chappuis President effective 5/22/08) and our new Executive Committee, celebrate a successful year, and give thanks for the many volunteers who have dedicated countless hours in support of our sons and SFS. 

Many of our committees are active during the summer months, and we are in need of volunteers.  Please review the enclosed volunteer form and sign-up today!  Feel free to call Karen David or Cathy Trimble if you have questions about any of our Chappuis Committees.
 
Thanks  to all our volunteers:
Deb Brenneman, Lisa Turco, and our Blood Drive Volunteers for working and supplying refreshments for our Annual Blood Drive.  Just about 100 donors supported this worthy event.  Anne Williams, After-Prom Chair, for her devoted leadership, all of the After-Prom Committee Moms, Don Conry, Bobby Lockwood, and Jeff Patterson and the Maintenance Crew, for their commitment to this annual, year-long project.   It took much planning and time to fund and provide a safe, entertaining party for our Juniors and Seniors.  Many thanks to Pam McCarthy and Kim Ellis for handling all the bake sales and to all the chaperones and faculty who worked into the wee hours of the morning!  Thanks to Forrest and Ellen Lishewski for their donation of many decorations.  And, thanks to the many parents and businesses that donated cash, gift cards, and gifts for this event.
