Keith Kennedy - Head Varsity Coach
Mr. Keith Kennedy enters his eighth season as the Knights' Head Swimming Coach. Prior to coming to St. Francis, Mr. Kennedy coached in Portland, Maine where he was Head Coach of the Westbrook Seals USA Swim Team for three seasons.
Mr. Kennedy earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Cincinnati. While attending UC, Mr. Kennedy swam for four years and was team captain, and he served as assistant coach to the men's and women's swim teams for one season.
Coach Kennedy has coached multiple world-ranked athletes, national qualifiers, state champions, zone record holders, and state record holders. In Maine swimming, his teams captured multiple LSC Championships, taking his team from sixth to first in one season. In 1999 Coach Kennedy was chosen as one of six young coaches for the USA Swimming Young Coaches Conference in Colorado Springs, CO with the National Team coach. Coach Kennedy was also selected as the Maine Swimming Coach of the year in 2000. He was a finalist for Ohio Senior Swimming Coach of the Year for 2001, and he was named the Northwest Ohio High School Coach of the Year and Ohio State Meet Final Four in 2003.
Coach Kennedy has obtained the second highest honor in age-group swimming by having the Greater Toledo Aquatic Club obtain the USA Swimming National Club of Excellence since 2002.
Ryan McRoberts - Assistant Coach
Ryan Roberts comes to St. Francis from Australia,where he swam since early childhood. After moving to the States when his father was transferred, Coach Roberts competed with the Lake Erie Silver Dolphins and the Hudson Explorers Aquatic Club. He has previously coached summer league and HEAT. He attended Ohio State, where he played water polo, and is now a student at the University of Toledo. He also coaches with the Greater Toledo Aquatic Club.
Scott TenEyck - Head Varsity Diving Coach
Mr. Scott TenEyck begins his eleventh season with the Knights. During his first season, St. Francis divers finished first and second in Sectional competition and went on to place first and fifth at the District level. Both SFS divers qualified for the State Championships-this was the first time since 1987 that the Knights were represented by two divers at State competition.
In 1999 and 2000, under Coach TenEyck's guidance, St. Francis was again highly competitive in diving. Both years the Knights qualified two divers to the State meet. In 2001, diver Andy Seibenick ‘01 was State champion in diving.
Scott is also the diving coach for St. Ursula Academy and Central Catholic High School, and he works with young divers, developing the Dolphins, an age-group diving program. Prior to coming to St. Francis, Scott was the Head Diving Coach for Sylvania Southview. In high school coaching, 99% of his divers have reached the District meet and over thirteen have competed at the Ohio High School State Championships.
Mr. TenEyck graduated from the University of Toledo in 1993 with a degree in Education, where he was a scholarship athlete in diving. In 2000, Coach TenEyck received his Master's degree from UT in Education. Scott currently is an assistant principal in the Toledo Public School District. He resides in Millbury with his wife, Susan, and four daughters, Jessica, Brittany, Alexis, and Samantha.
