ImageMr. Lee Aliakbar joins the Knight soccer program as Head Varsity coach.

Coach Lee is CEO and Director of the Toledo Celtics. He holds a B.S. in Mathematics, an associate's degree in science and holds a N.S.C.A.A. Advanced National Diploma.  He started his carrer with Share Ziba where later he joined& Bonyad Mostazafan. He played for famous Tehran Javan soccer club in Tehran, Iran. He was recently appointed as the head Varsity Coach at St. Francis de Sales High School. He was girls Varsity Coach for Perrysburg High School where the team was ranked #16 in the nation and was JV Coach and Assistant Varsity Coach for St. John's High School. Lee has also worked in the Olympic Development Program in Ohio. In addition to coaching at St. Francis, Coach continues his duties to the Toledo Celtics programs.

Mr. Aliakbar has also coached at the international level. Most recently, his 2006 team reached the final 16 (out of 180 teams) in the Gothia Cup competition in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Lee and his wife Rose have three children; Marisol (NDA 1996), Yousef (MVCDS 2007), and Yadi (SFS 2009).


ImageMr. Bill Toney played soccer at Alton High School, and in college at Sangamon State University, and played club soccer at the University of Missouri-Columbia. He has been a USSF referee since 1984 (Grade 7), and has worked as a college referee for two years. Bill has coaching experience with the Sylvania Youth Soccer League, the Pacesetters, and St. Francis de Sales, where he coached between 1996 and 2000. At St. Francis, he is a mathematics teacher, following several years as Dean of Men. He and his wife Julie have two children, Nick, SFS ‘06, and Jocelyn SUA ‘10.


ImageMr. John Clarke has 25 years of coaching experience at various levels, including high school, university, Olympic development, and club soccer. He is currently the Director of Youth Development for the Toledo Celtics, and has coached with them since 2002. He previously served as the St. Francis de Sales Varsity coach from 1990-96, and head coach from 1994-96. His own playing career spanned 30 years, including seven years of professional soccer in England, and four years as a letterman in college. He holds an English FA Coaching Badge and USSF D License, and is a member of NSCAA. John and his wife Shannon have three children. He holds a degree in Applied Chemistry from Brunel University, England, and a degree in Physical Science from Oxford. He works as a Senior Quality Manager at Calphalon Corporation.


Mr. Ahmad Roudbari is a 2007 graduate of Owens Community College, with degrees in accounting and business management. He played for Owens, and played for three years for the Toledo Slayers, and for the Detroit Arsenals. He played professionally for three years in Kuwait. He is a second-year coach for USASEM U-14 boys and U1-8 girls teams.


ImageMr. Lee Robison, a 2001 graduate, returns to St. Francis for his fourth year as Head Junior Varsity Coach. In 2005, Lee led his squad to another NWOHSSL Title, the school’s fourth JV title in five years. At SFS, Lee served as a captain and helped guide the Knights to a District Runner-Up finish and a #2 State ranking in 2000. Lee was recognized as a First Team All-District his senior year. He continued his soccer career at Capital University, where he was a starter his freshman year.


ImageMike Mason is a 2003 graduate of Central Catholic, where he was named to the First Team All-City and All-District his junior and senior years, and was captain his senior year. He played college soccer at Owens College, and was captain his second year. He was named Player of the Year his second year, and also received All-Conference honors. He played for the Toledo Slayers, and coached two years at Central Catholic. He is currently a history student at the University of Toledo.
