Roman Willets Qualifies for Junior Nationals |

 Roman Willets, a senior at St. Francis de Sales High School from Whitehouse has been swimming for Greater Toledo Aquatic Club since the seventh grade. This past summer he qualified to swim in the Junior Nationals. His main events are the 50,100, 200 and 400M freestyle. There were nearly 150 swimmers in each event and he finished in the top 1/3 of each event. He has been named a National Scholastic All-American by USA Swimming for maintaining a 3.5 GPA in high school and having a national time in an individual event. He hopes to swim in college for a Big Ten Conference school. He is being considered by Ohio, University of Michigan and the University of Minnesota.
His future career ambition is to one day return to teach at St. Francis where he is the Vice President of the senior class, a member of the Campus Ministry Core team and a cheerleader for the Knights' pep rallies. He is coached at SFS and GTAC by Keith Kennedy. He is the son of Mary and Steve Willets of Whitehouse.
