St. Francis de Sales

The Knights’ Ball is a benefit exclusively for the St. Francis de Sales High School Endowment Fund.  In 2007, our scholarships and financial aid have increased more than fifty times, from $25,000 in 1987 to $1.6 million in 2008.  Since the Ball’s inception in 1992, it has raised $2,099,121 in gross revenue.  Of that amount, $1,634,830 has directly benefited our students and families in the form of financial assistance. 

The Ball takes place on the first Saturday of December each year.   The evening is filled with a special performance by the Singing Blue, fine food, a fantastic silent auction, dancing, the Treasure Quest Raffle Prize Drawing and the Scholarship Auction.  The highlight of the evening is the fellowship shared by the St. Francis family, knowing we are all joining together to support our Knights. 

The Ball is managed completely by a large staff of volunteers, supported by the SFS office staff, and blessed with the guidance of Fr. Olszewski.  During the first quarter of the year, plans begin and committees are formed.  All parents and alumni are encouraged to take part at any time throughout the year, and there are many different ways to do this.  You can volunteer for a committee, donate an auction item, help with décor and set-up, be a sponsor, purchase an ornament for the Treasure Quest Raffle, attend, or make a donation.   It is our hope that you will be part of the Ball “team” and contribute to its success.
