The St. Francis water polo team defeated Columbus St. Charles 7-6 to advance to the State Final 4 for the 2^nd year in a row. The Knights were led in scoring by seniors Jake Hunter (4 goals), Joe Hoffman (2 goals), and Matt Marshall (1 goal). Hoffman’s final goal came on a penalty shot with 10 seconds left in the game to give the Knights the win. St. Francis will take on Upper Arlington this coming Friday night in the semi-finals at Mason High School in Cincinnati at 8:45 p.m.

The St. Francis Water Polo Team wrapped up its season with a second straight 3rd place finish at the state tournament this past weekend in Mason, OH. The Knights lost to eventual champion Upper Arlington 8-6 in the semi-finals but rebounded to defeat defending champion Milford 9-6 in the consolation game to earn 3rd place.  Leading the way were seniors Jake Hunter (4 goals), Andrew Swartz (4 goals), and Joe Hoffman (3 goals) and junior goalie Rowan Williams (23 saves). The Knights finished their season with a record of 18-12.
