Weimer said of Borgman, “Adam’s goal from day one was to play water polo at the collegiate level. Through his hard work and continued dedication to the game, he was able to reach his goal. For someone from this area to get a water polo scholarship to a quality school and program such as Mercyhurst is a tremendous accomplishment and speaks volumes to what type of player Adam is. I have no doubts that he will be successful at the next level.”

Team wrapped up its season with a 3rd place finish at the state
tournament this past weekend. The Knights lost to eventual champion Milford 12-7
in the semi-finals but rebounded to defeat Thomas Worthington 17-13 in the
consolation game to earn 3rd place. In the two games, St. Francis was
paced by the scoring of Adam Borgman (11 goals), Joe Hoffman (5 goals), and Matt
Marshall (5 goals).
