Lenart Named Commended Student

St. Francis de Sales senior Daniel Lenart was named a National Merit Commended Student by placing among the top 5% of more than 1.5 million students who entered the 2013 competition by taking the 2011 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. These students represent some of the most academically talented students in the country.

Lenart has been a member of the track and cross country teams all four years and is a team captain for cross country. He is a member and officer of the National Honor Society. He serves as vice-president of the senior class and is a member of the core team of the campus ministry group. Lenart volunteered on the school’s mission trip to Appalachia working with fellow students to paint and rehab homes for the less privileged. He has applied to several colleges including Purdue, Ohio State University and the University of Cincinnati to study pharmacy in pursuit of a pharmacy career. Lenart is the son of Dan and Jill Lenart of Sylvania and attended St. Joseph School in Sylvania.
