The Freshman Class held its elections for class officers and representatives at the end of the first quarter.
The elections results are as follows: Vice-President- Jimmy Karban, President-Luke Swint, Assistant President-Alex McGee, and Secretary- Kyle Bloom. The class reps are Luke Bockbader, Jake Reece, and Easton Skinner.

The Water Polo Knights of St. Francis de Sales had some outstanding wins this season including winning the Knight Invite in which 9 schools from through out the state competed.

Blake (BJ) Mielcarek, a senior and scholar-athlete at St. Francis de Sales High School, signed his Letter of Intent to play lacrosse at Siena Heights University in the presence of his parents, friends and his three coaches, Gary Ehman, Jack Loy and Chris Pavain. He has played lacrosse all four years while at St. Francis de Sales, and is captain of his team.

On Saturday, November 17, 28 members of the St. Francis de Sales Chess Team traveled to Akron to compete in the Grade Level State Championships, where freshmen play freshmen, sophomores play sophomores, etc. St. Francis had 11 sophomores competing in that grade level. Seven of our eleven players defeated individual players who had higher national ratings. Two additional SFS sophomores won critical games that helped our team to the state title.

Students, faculty, and benefactors gathered this afternoon for the dedication and blessing of the recently completed Student Achievement Center.
The new Student Achievement Center is a 6000 square foot, $1.4 million renovation project to provide an environment that promotes academic learning, research and student success. Center services are available to all St. Francis students, faculty, parents and alumni.

The St. Francis de Sales High School Placement Test is Saturday, December 1. Registration begins at 8 a.m. Testing begins promptly at 8:30 a.m. and will end by Noon. Please bring two #2 pencils and the $20 test processing fee. If you have a conflict with the date, make up tests will be offered. Just call the Admissions Office at 419-531-1618 for make up dates. The St. Francis de Sales Spring Musical has been announced: "Les Miserables." Tryouts will be in early January and the performances will be the first two weekends in May. Great music: "At the End of the Day", "Who am I?", "Master of the House?", "Do You Hear the People Sing" and lots more! Get ready for the best show ever!
